The fast forward of the French national team and PSG, Ousmane Dembélé, won the 2025 Onse d'Or award.
According to a poll conducted by the renowned French magazine "Onze Mondial," Dembélé was recognized as the best player on the European continent. In this process, he surpassed his strong rivals - Barcelona's young talent Lamin Yamal and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé.
Dembélé took first place with 32.5% of the vote. Second place went to 17-year-old Barcelona striker Lamin Yamal (30%). Real Madrid leader Mbappé took third place, receiving 12.5% of the vote.
Ousmane Dembélé became one of the main heroes for PSG in the 2024/25 season. The Parisian club managed to win the required treble - the Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Champions League trophies. Dembélé made 53 appearances during the season, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists.
For information, the "Onze d'Or" award is considered a European analogue of the "Golden Ball." However, it is also mentioned as a "cursed award," as Erling Haaland and Vinicius Junior, who won the award in the last two years, did not win the Ballon d'Or at the end of the year.
The main ceremony in the football world's attention - the awarding of the Ballon d'Or - is scheduled for September 22.
