Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola expressed warm thoughts about Liverpool's right-back Conor Bradley. The 22-year-old Northern Irish footballer started in the main lineup during the Reds' match against City but was unable to prevent his team from a heavy defeat (0:3).
"I was genuinely impressed by Bradley's performance. He plays excellently as a right-back for Liverpool.
Pep Lijnders spoke to me with endless praise about him. I know Bradley had showcased himself brilliantly against Vinicius prior to the game against us," said Guardiola to journalists.
It should be noted that this match marked the 1000th game of the Spanish coach's career.
