Former Barcelona midfielder and member of the Spain national team Andres Iniesta is suspected of involvement in fraudulent schemes, according to reports by ESPN journalists.
According to the source, the "Blaugrana" legend is under investigation by the Peruvian prosecutor's office. Reports indicate that Iniesta’s involvement resulted in losses exceeding $600,000 for several entrepreneurs.
His reputation was allegedly used to convince entrepreneurs to finance sports and musical events, many of which were never held. Andres Iniesta spent the majority of his football career playing for Barcelona.
