Al-Nassr Awarded Technical Victory

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has upheld Al-Nassr's appeal regarding the result of their match against Al-Orobah. As a result of this decision, Cristiano Ronaldo's team has been awarded three points, keeping their chances alive to compete for a spot in the 2025/26 AFC Champions League.

Initially, the match held on February 28 concluded with a 2-1 defeat for Al-Nassr. However, the team filed a protest, arguing that the opposing goalkeeper, Rafi Al-Ruwaili, had not been registered as a professional player.

The complaint was reviewed, and Al-Orobah was handed a technical defeat. With the awarded points, Al-Nassr moved up to third place in the league standings.

The team is now two points ahead of Al-Qadsiah and two points behind Al-Hilal, who are in second place. Securing second place would guarantee qualification for next season's AFC Champions League.
