In the 26th minute, Raphinha's cross from the left wing was converted into a goal by Dani Olmo, putting Barcelona ahead 2-1. Despite some defensive mistakes, Barcelona gained control of the game during the first half.
At the end of the first half, Yamal and Lewandowski created a good counterattack opportunity but failed to score. In the second half, Barcelona intensified their play and displayed a more reliable defensive performance.
The hosts effectively controlled possession in midfield and neutralized the opponent's attacks. Towards the end of the second half, Barcelona launched another attack in the penalty area, with a combination between Dani Olmo and Lamin Yamal culminating in a third goal.
Dani Olmo completed his brace, increasing the score to 3-1. With this victory, Barcelona overtook Real Madrid by two points, securing the top spot in the league standings.
Real Madrid will now play Girona on Sunday under added pressure to perform.
