Sevilla Derby Halted

Sevilla derby interrupted
On Sunday evening, the Sevilla derby in Spain's La Liga – the match between "Sevilla" and "Betis" – took place. Near the end of the game, the referee stopped the match and held discussions with the teams' captains.

The reason was unrest in the stands. "Sevilla" fans began throwing various objects onto the field.

The match was halted with a score of 0–2, as "Betis" managed to score twice in the second half. It is likely that the game will resume, but only if the spectators calm down and there are no safety threats to the players.

At the moment, the referee, following safety protocols, has escorted both teams off the field. We will continue to monitor updates from Sevilla.
