Former Ivory Coast national football team player Yaya Toure shared memories of his career, particularly highlighting events related to the French Championship.
In 2004, after spending three remarkable seasons with Belgium's "Beveren" club, Toure drew interest from PSG. According to the player, "Paris Saint-Germain" proposed to pay the transfer fee in two installments, while Ukrainian club "Metallurg" was ready to pay it in one single payment.
"People close to me did not respect my wishes... They deprived me of the opportunity to move to PSG.
It was very difficult for me," said Toure in an interview with GFFN. However, a few years later, Toure returned to Ligue 1 by signing with "Monaco."
He stated that it was this club where he felt the opportunity to develop his skills without any pressure. "Monaco has almost no fans, so there's no pressure – the stadium is nearly empty," Toure said.
After one season with "Monaco," Yaya Toure joined "Barcelona." Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
