Reason for Rüdiger's Bench Role Revealed


Real Madrid's central defender Antonio Rüdiger was not included in the starting lineup for today's La Liga match against Celta Vigo. The 32-year-old player had recovered from an injury at the end of November and played in the starting lineup for Real Madrid's previous two matches.

According to Diario AS, head coach Xabi Alonso decided to give the German defender a rest this time. This decision comes as Alonso plans to utilize Rüdiger in the crucial Champions League match against Manchester City, scheduled for Wednesday, December 10.
