Atletico Madrid seeks to extend Simeone's contract

The management of Madrid’s “Atletico” club intends to extend the contract with the team’s head coach, Diego Simeone. This was reported by Topskills Sports UK.

According to the source, “Atletico” is satisfied with Simeone’s performance and achievements and therefore aims to retain him for the near future. Simeone has played a significant role in increasing the club’s value: he has transformed “Atletico” into not only a strong force on the field but also a full-fledged brand.

Simeone has been managing “Atletico” since December 2011. His current contract with the “Rojiblancos” is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season.

At the moment, “Atletico” is in third place in the Spanish La Liga standings with 37 points after 18 matches.
