Nepomnyashchiy believes Safonov will become PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper

Former Baltika head coach Valeriy Nepomnyashchiy commented on the prospects of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov at PSG. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to the expert, Safonov could earn the status of PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper in the new year. Nepomnyashchiy stressed that Matvey has the necessary qualities and potential for this, and that he finished 2025 in good playing form.

This season, the 26-year-old Safonov has made four appearances across all competitions: he conceded three goals and kept two clean sheets.
