Former Russia national team midfielder and ex-Celta player Aleksandr Mostovoy shared his thoughts on who could win the next Ballon d'Or. He believes there is a high chance the award will go to a Real Madrid player. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
Mostovoy named Kylian Mbappe as the main contender. “You can see the goals he scores and how he plays on the pitch — if there are no injuries, he will definitely win in 2026,” Sovetskiy Sport quoted Mostovoy as saying.
Mbappe is currently unable to play due to a knee issue. Early reports suggest the French forward’s recovery could take up to three weeks. In 2025, Kylian managed to score a total of 66 goals for club and country.
