Gavi to travel with Barcelona for the Spanish Super Cup

Barcelona midfielder Gavi is close to completing his recovery process after injury. The 21-year-old has not played since August due to a knee issue and surgery. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to journalist Carlos Monfort, Gavi will fly with the team to Saudi Arabia, where the Spanish Super Cup matches will take place. For now, his participation in the games is not being considered, but he can support his teammates off the pitch.

Hansi Flick’s side will face Athletic Bilbao in the Super Cup semi-final on January 7. The other finalist will be decided a day later in Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, with the final scheduled for January 11.
