Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso commented on how the team can strengthen its attack in Kylian Mbappe’s absence. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.
For the record, the French forward will miss the upcoming matches due to injury. Alonso noted that in this situation Rodrygo can be used more freely in various positions.
“He is as important to us as the other players. Especially considering Kylian’s absence. We have several options, and Rodrygo is one possible solution,” Alonso was quoted as saying by the club’s press service.
In the 2025/2026 season, Rodrygo has played 21 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists.
The winger’s current contract runs until 30 June 2028. His market value is estimated at €60 million.
