Former Spartak Moscow defender Eduard Mor said that in La Liga round 18, Espanyol did not look inferior to Barcelona in terms of play. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
Although the match ended with league leaders Barcelona winning 2–0, Mor believes the outcome could have been different.
“They played the first half very well. They created two chances, while Barca had almost nothing. At some point, Espanyol outplayed Barcelona,” Match TV quoted the expert as saying.
Mor also noted that both teams’ goalkeepers were excellent and saved their sides several times.
After the result, Barcelona further strengthened their lead in the standings, while Espanyol remained in fifth place.
