An unexpected result was recorded in Seville in Matchday 18 of the Spanish league: Levante thrashed hosts Sevilla, scoring three goals against the Nervion side. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
It turns out that Levante had not won at Sevilla’s ground for nearly 12 years — their last victory there came in 2014.
Back then, on January 25, 2014, Levante also hit the target three times, but conceded two goals. After that, Sevilla usually dominated at home, with only one draw recorded. This time, the underdogs sensationally defeated one of Spain’s most decorated clubs.
In the next round, Levante will face Espanyol.
