Viktor Goncharenko appointed head coach of Belarus national team

Coach Viktor Goncharenko, known for his work with Russian clubs, has received a new appointment — he will now lead the Belarus national team. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to the press service of the Belarusian Football Federation Association, a four-year employment contract has been signed with the coach.

Previously, Goncharenko served as head coach of Pari NN, Ural, Krasnodar, CSKA, Ufa and other teams.

Belarus failed to post strong results in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers: they lost three matches and drew two more. In June, the Belarusians played Russia and lost 1–4.
