French footballer dies in Thailand while taking a selfie

A tragedy occurred in Thailand: young French footballer Alexis Vergo, who was spending his vacation with his girlfriend on one of the islands, went on a trip to the famous Na Muang 2 waterfall. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The couple tried to take a selfie near the waterfall but slipped and fell from the slick rocks. The girl survived and managed to call rescuers, but the footballer could not be saved.

The press service of the «Quimper» club, where the late footballer played, confirmed the news of Alexis Vergo’s death.
