Raphinha responds to Simeone’s comments about the Ballon d’Or

Barcelona winger Raphinha Dias reacted to the high-profile remarks made by Atletico head coach Diego Simeone. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

Last month, the Argentine specialist said he couldn’t understand why Raphinha didn’t win the Ballon d’Or, praising the Blaugrana star’s performances.

“Simeone’s words? I’m grateful for that. Diego is a great coach, and I respect him a lot,” the Brazilian footballer said in an interview after scoring a brace in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Athletic Bilbao (5:0).

In the final, Barcelona will face either Real Madrid or Atletico. The Madrid derby will be played on Thursday, and the final will take place on Sunday, 11 January.
