Pesyakov calls Russia national team’s current results достойными

Krylya Sovetov goalkeeper Sergey Pesyakov commented on the Russia national team’s recent matches under head coach Valery Karpin, euro-football.ru reports reports .
According to the keeper, the team’s results are not bad given the current circumstances, but it is still too early to draw final conclusions. Pesyakov stressed that only official matches show the real level, while friendlies do not provide a complete picture.
“Considering the current situation and Karpin’s demands, the result isn’t bad. Some say the opponents are weak — it’s hard to judge that definitively. We need official games to draw conclusions,” Match TV quoted Pesyakov as saying.
Last year, the Russia national team played 10 friendly matches, posted a positive record and won six of them.
