Racing to welcome Barcelona with a guard of honour

In the Copa del Rey round of 16 match against Racing, Barcelona will be given a guard of honour. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The Santander club will host the Blaugrana at home on Thursday, 15 January. According to Diario Sport, before kick-off Racing players will acknowledge the Catalans’ recent Spanish Super Cup triumph by forming the traditional guard of honour. Although the team currently leading the Segunda did not take part in the tournament, it is not abandoning the tradition.

As a reminder, in the Super Cup final Barcelona, led by Hans-Dieter Flick, beat Real Madrid 3–2. After El Clasico, the Madrid side refused to give a guard of honour to their arch-rivals.
