By agreement with the coach, Cristiano Ronaldo is not featuring in the AFC Champions League group stage matches in Group 2. Even so, Al Nassr are producing confident results without their leader. This was reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
On Wednesday, the Saudi club won their fifth group game as well: in Tajikistan, Istiklol were thrashed 4–0. As a result, Al Nassr finished top of the group and advanced to the next round.
After the match, Ronaldo reposted a message on social media about his team reaching the playoffs as group winners and added two emojis — fire and applause.
The 40-year-old forward’s current contract with Al Nassr runs until mid-2027.
