At the ongoing Asian Championship in road cycling, the fate of medals in the team relay program was decided today. It is gratifying that the young representatives of our national team showed themselves very well in this competition and took an honorable second place.
In the 20-kilometer race, our team worked as a single mechanism: the tempo was maintained in each lap, "seconds" were not lost in the turns, and the overall tempo did not fade. The main achievement in such starts is the correct distribution of strength and the establishment of team harmony.
Uzbekistan was represented by Roksana Hikmatova, Gulhayo Sattorova, Ekaterina Makarochkina, Fazliddin Ergashev, Chingiz Chuliev, and Shoislom Shoakmalov.
A silver medal is not just a result, it is proof of great work and proper preparation. Now the most important thing is to turn this confidence into continuous victories: maintain the tempo in subsequent starts and make the fight for gold even fiercer. Good news for fans: as long as there are young people, there is a "future day" in our cycling.
