Revenge Drone Attacks Target US Banks

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Citibank branches in Dubai and Bahrain's capital Manama. The strikes were described as a direct response to earlier attacks on two Iranian banks.
A spokesperson for the Guard, Ali Mohammad Naini, stated that the assaults on American bank offices were retaliation for what he called enemy aggression against Iranian financial institutions. He warned that any further such actions would make all US bank branches in the region legitimate targets.
On March 11, Iran's Sepah Bank in Tehran was hit by a rocket attack, according to reports from Iran International. The building suffered significant damage. The Wall Street Journal has noted that Sepah Bank handles salary payments for Iran's security forces.
The developments highlight rising tensions in the region, with financial institutions becoming targets amid ongoing conflicts. Iranian officials have signaled readiness to expand their response if they perceive continued threats to their banking system.
