On the contrary, he should be honored to take my place. When I accepted this challenge, I knew it would be the hardest task of my career," said Jesus.
The coach also touched upon his conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo and his role in his arrival at the club. According to Jesus, it was Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Semedo who invited him to Saudi Arabia. He promised to help the star striker win the championship and kept his word.
Jesus also explained why he decided not to extend his contract. He stated that working in Saudi Arabia is physically and mentally exhausting. Although he was initially offered a two-year contract, he only agreed to one year and now wants to rest and focus on other projects.
