Pep Guardiola's agent clarifies links with Al-Nassr

After Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola officially announced he would leave the club at the end of the current season, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr began showing interest in the tactician. The Saudi Pro League champions aim to establish a historic partnership between the world's best manager and Cristiano Ronaldo. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

Following Guardiola's announcement that he would conclude his 10-year successful tenure at Manchester City, Al-Nassr's management moved to attract him to Riyadh. With the Saudi champion and AFC Champions League 2 winner Jorge Jesus having left the team, the club has begun searching for a new head coach. According to reports, the club offered the manager a record salary of nearly 130 million euros per year.

Pep Guardiola's agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, clarified these rumors. In an interview with Saudi media, he stated: "There was contact a month and a half ago, but it was just a conversation, with no written offer or commitment. Furthermore, there was no talk of the large sums of money mentioned."

According to the agent, not only Al-Nassr but also the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has reached out to the manager. However, the probability of an agreement between the parties is currently very low. Orobitg added that at this stage, no party has a realistic chance of signing Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola will manage his final game for Manchester City against Aston Villa on Sunday. After that, he is expected to continue his career as a global ambassador within the City Football Group system.
