Michael Owen: Arsenal could part ways with Viktor Gyokeres

Although Arsenal secured the Premier League title after a 22-year drought, Michael Owen believes Mikel Arteta is planning to further strengthen his attacking line. Viktor Gyokeres was signed from Sporting CP last summer for £64 million. He managed to score 21 goals in 54 matches across all competitions, but this performance does not seem to fully satisfy the club's management. This is reported by Goal.com .
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen claims that the Swedish forward is not a long-term solution for the team. He believes the Arsenal hierarchy wants to make changes in several positions, especially at center-forward. Questions remain regarding Gyokeres' technical capabilities and his impact in crucial matches.
In an interview with Premier League Productions, Owen said: "They won with the current squad, but that doesn't mean it will always continue like this. Arsenal wants to find a new center-forward; they are not entirely satisfied with Gyokeres. If a top-tier striker like Thierry Henry appears on the market, the club will do everything in its power to sign him."
Mikel Arteta has created a perfect mechanism, leading Manchester City by seven points, but the next phase of the project involves maintaining this dominance and improving the quality of play. Owen warns that the team must be careful when refreshing the squad, otherwise the balance could be disrupted.
"They need to be as careful as Liverpool. There is a risk of spending £400 million in one summer to get even better and ruining what they have. This is the biggest risk in the next stage of management," added Michael Owen.
