Synthetic methane produced in Angren using Japanese technology

Synthetic methane produced in Angren using Japanese technology
Angren city of Tashkent region is hosting another advanced and promising project. A synthetic methane production system has been launched on a trial basis in a pilot area located in the Yangiabad neighborhood. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent regional administration.

The project is being implemented as a result of cooperation between Khududgaztaminot JSC and the Japanese company ITO Corporation. The main feature of the project is the introduction of modern technology developed in Japan, which ensures environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.

Propane and air are a new source of methane

It is emphasized that within the framework of the project, special devices have been installed in the neighborhood, which allow processing a mixture of propane and air to produce synthetic methane. This type of gas is effectively used to provide several multi-storey buildings in the pilot area with natural gas.

The new method will serve not only to stabilize the local gas supply, but also to reduce pressure in the national energy system. At the same time, this technology is considered an environmentally friendly solution, as it contributes to the emission of fewer harmful substances into the atmosphere.

In the future, the entire republic will be covered

Although the project is currently being implemented as a pilot project, the regional results are being evaluated positively. According to the administration, practical work has begun to expand the project nationwide and introduce such devices to other regions.

“This initiative is being implemented with the support of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. It serves strategic goals such as increasing energy efficiency in Uzbekistan and widely introducing innovative and sustainable technologies,” the official statement says.

In conclusion

The synthetic methane project is not only a technological breakthrough, but also another important step for Uzbekistan to strengthen international cooperation in the energy sector. Such solutions that ensure environmental cleanliness and efficiency will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the country's energy security.
