A tragic incident occurred at a private preschool located in the Kamashi district of Kashkadarya region — a 2-year-old girl, left unsupervised, left the kindergarten premises and fell into a nearby irrigation canal, resulting in her death.
According to available information, the tragedy took place on May 20. The deceased girl’s mother stated that after the kindergarten opened, parents warned the administration about the dangerous canal nearby. However, the kindergarten staff had promised that safety measures would be taken.
"Every day, as usual, I took my daughter to the kindergarten. Suddenly, my brother-in-law came and said that my daughter wasn’t feeling well. When I arrived, she had already passed away, her body was cold. They had wrapped her in a blanket and placed her under a tree. I entrusted them with my child — how could they be so careless? And now the kindergarten is operating as if nothing happened. I demand that those responsible be held accountable," the grieving mother said.
An investigation is underway. According to the caregiver, half of the children were brought inside for a nap, while the rest remained in the yard. Unfortunately, the unsupervised girl exited the premises and fell into the canal.
Officials are expected to make a formal statement. Parents are calling for stricter safety measures in preschools. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
