A new university for the future of metallurgy opens in Uzbekistan
For the first time in Uzbekistan, a Higher School of Technological Metals has begun its activities. This educational institution was established at the initiative of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Combine (TMK), and its main goal is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of technological metals in our country.

The bachelor's program is organized based on international cooperation and is implemented in partnership with the renowned University of Pisa (Italy). Classes will be conducted entirely in English, and students will have the opportunity to undergo practical training at TMK's production facilities in addition to acquiring theoretical knowledge. TMK has allocated grants for 25 talented young individuals at the initial stage.

The master's program is also organized on an international level. At this stage, specialists in critical minerals will be trained in cooperation with the University of Geological Sciences. The project is carried out jointly with the China University of Geosciences. Education will also be conducted in English. The second year of the master’s program will take place in China, and graduates will receive diplomas from both Uzbekistan and China. Ten full grants have been allocated for this stage.

Graduates who successfully complete their studies will be offered permanent employment at TMK. This presents a great opportunity not only for young people but also for the country’s industry.

Officials emphasized that this new higher education institution aims to train specialists who meet both local and international standards and is designed to address the shortage of personnel in metallurgy, geology, and mineralogy.
