A case of illegal electricity use was identified in the Qashqadaryo region. During a monitoring operation carried out jointly by the regional department of "Uzenergoinspection" and law enforcement units, a violation was discovered involving the private company "G." located in the Guzor district.
According to reports, the company had been using a technically unfit and faulty power transformer for an extended period. This indicates hidden electricity consumption beyond official accounting.
Preliminary calculations estimate that this violation caused economic damage amounting to 558 million Uzbek sums to the power supply company.
Currently, a pre-investigation inquiry has been launched by law enforcement agencies. Illegal electricity usage not only results in financial losses but also endangers the stability of the entire power system.
Energy sector experts urge citizens and business entities to remain vigilant and ensure all connections and equipment are used lawfully.
