Drunk passenger jailed for sexual assault on woman during Tashkent flight

On July 21, 2025, an unpleasant incident occurred on the “Moscow–Tashkent” flight. Shortly before the plane landed in Tashkent, a 40-year-old man, being intoxicated, lost control and committed sexual actions toward a woman seated next to him. This was reported based on court documents.

According to the information, the drunk passenger touched the woman’s breasts, removed his pants, and exposed his genitals. The woman asked him to stop his behavior, but the man continued his actions.

During the court hearing, the man admitted his guilt. He stated that he had drunk 3 glasses of beer before the flight, which caused him to be intoxicated, and expressed regret for his actions, claiming he had not been aware of what he was doing. He also asked the court for a lighter sentence.

However, the court considered the offense to be serious and, based on Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, sentenced him to 3 days of administrative arrest.
