Number of visa-free countries for Uzbek citizens is expanding

International travel is becoming increasingly accessible for our citizens. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' press service, as of today, citizens of Uzbekistan can enter about 40 countries visa-free and another 42 countries under simplified visa procedures.

According to the MFA spokesperson Akhror Burkhanov, ensuring the free and convenient movement of citizens abroad, as well as abolishing or easing visa requirements, has become one of the ministry's foreign policy priorities. Intensive negotiations are being conducted with many countries, and these efforts are already yielding concrete results.

In recent years, visa-free regimes have been established with China, the UAE, Thailand, Oman, and Iran. Additionally, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Vietnam have simplified their visa issuance procedures. All of this has made international travel more comfortable and accessible for Uzbek citizens.

Currently, negotiations are ongoing with dozens of countries to either abolish or ease visa requirements. The Foreign Ministry plans to continue its efforts in this area to create even broader international opportunities for Uzbek nationals.

Officials emphasized that travel and international experience play an important role in broadening citizens' horizons and knowledge, as well as strengthening Uzbekistan's image on the global stage. The ministry will continue to systematically work towards creating the most convenient conditions for outbound travel.

As new opportunities open up, Uzbek citizens will find it easier and more convenient to achieve their goals abroad. Every step across borders brings new experiences, knowledge, and perspectives.
