In recent years, drastic changes in the world's climate have affected not only human life, but also the economy and agriculture. In particular, the dry and dry winter in Uzbekistan creates serious problems for farmers. Therefore, long-term weather forecasts for the coming months are expected with great interest.
Recently, the Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan - Kazhydromet - published its data for the period from November 2025 to March 2026. According to him, in November, air temperature in most of the country is expected to be about 1 degree above normal. The amount of precipitation in the northern and western regions will exceed the norm, mainly in the form of snow. By the end of the month, the air temperature in some regions is expected to drop to minus 20 degrees.
Kazakh specialists describe December as a relatively warm month, but with a decrease in precipitation throughout the republic. In January, the temperature may be within normal limits, and cold days may be observed in the eastern regions. February is expected to be the warmest month, with temperatures 1-2 degrees above normal. Dry weather may prevail in the western regions. March is expected to begin spring with warm and relatively stable temperatures.
At the same time, the Hydrometeorological Service of Uzbekistan - Uzhydromet - has not yet published a long-term forecast for the winter season. The agency's press secretary, Nigora Toshxo'jayeva, stated in a comment to "Daryo":
Climatologist Erkin Abdulakhatov previously stated in his speech: the probability of a dry winter is high, which indicates that 2026 may be a difficult period for the agricultural sector.
According to experts, in the context of climate change, each country, including Uzbekistan, must be prepared for sharp changes in the precipitation regime and take new measures for the efficient use of water resources.
