Saida Mirziyoyeva reviewed restoration and development issues in Itchan Kala

On April 27, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, inspected the Itchan Kala complex during her visit to the Khorezm region. She announced this through her official Telegram channel.

It was reported that during the visit, Saida Mirziyoyeva closely familiarized herself with the most important and unique monuments of the historic city. In particular, she inspected historical structures such as the Toshhovli Palace, Muhammad Amin Inaq Madrasah, Muhammad Aminxon Madrasah, Juma Mosque, and Ko‘hna Ark.

Within the framework of the visit, the future development strategy of Itchan Kala, namely the master plan, was discussed. Special attention was also paid to the issues of preserving cultural heritage sites, their restoration, and adaptation to modern museum formats.

In her remarks, Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that preserving the country's rich historical heritage and passing it on to future generations is an important task. She noted that for this purpose, a special program for the protection of cultural heritage will be developed in the Khorezm region.

“Preserving our common historical roots and unique national identity is one of the priority tasks. Systematic work will be carried out in this direction,” the report says.

Overall, this visit is seen as a significant step toward preserving the unique architectural monuments in the city of Khiva, increasing their tourist attractiveness, and promoting them at the international level.
