It has been reported that thousands of women got married in Uzbekistan during the first three months of 2026. Among the figures provided by the National Statistics Committee, the number of women marrying after the age of 40 is particularly noteworthy.
According to official data, a total of 42,300 marriages were officially registered by civil registry offices between January and March. The majority of women who married were in the 20–30 age group, with 22,436 women getting married in this category.
Additionally, the number of brides under 20 was 14,946. In the 31–40 age group, 3,687 women officially entered into marriage.
One of the most discussed figures in the statistics relates to women aged 41 and older. It is noted that in the first quarter of 2026, 1,232 women married after the age of 40.
For reference, a total of 267,131 marriages were registered across the country in 2025. Of these, more than 5,300 cases involved women who married after the age of 40.
