A serious accident involving a Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle occurred in Chengdu, a city in western China. According to reports, the car, traveling at high speed, crashed into a barrier on Tianfu Avenue and caught fire.
Most regrettably, the electronic system automatically locked the doors after the accident, as a result of which the driver did not have time to leave the car and died at the scene.
The fire service arrived shortly after the incident, but the car completely burned down.
Following the tragedy, Xiaomi shares fell by almost 9%. The company announced the start of an investigation into the incident. Some experts suggest that the human factor may have contributed to this.
