A New Era in Cancer Treatment in Russia: Effective Solution Through Nanoparticles

Scientists at the Moscow Aviation Institute are developing nanoparticles capable of destroying tumors without harming the body. They tested 36 different iron ion–based formulations and selected the most effective one, which is now being tested on animals.

The new drug works on the principle of ferroptosis — a process in which iron ions destroy cancer cells via toxic molecules. This method has minimal impact on healthy tissues and is considered gentler compared to chemotherapy.

In addition, Russia's Gamaleya Center has developed the country’s first vaccine against melanoma. These scientific advances can serve as an inspiration not only for global science, but also for Uzbekistan’s medical community.
