The news about a convict who committed a crime in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region caused a sharp controversy in the public. According to information circulating on social networks, a 31-year-old man who fled colony No. 50 raped a 3rd-grade girl. Local residents caught him in the field and handed him over to law enforcement.
According to the Department of Internal Affairs, the convict "went in an unknown direction" on October 16, when he was involved in labor activities at the "P.B." enterprise.
Investigations revealed that he was convicted in 2018 under Article 118, Part 4 of the Criminal Code - rape of a person under 14 years of age. According to the court verdict, he was sentenced to imprisonment until 2033, and in August 2024, he was transferred to a settlement colony to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Currently, the perpetrator of the crime has been promptly detained. It was officially confirmed that a preventive measure of detention was applied against him.
