Individuals who attempted to send three women into prostitution in the UAE have been detained

In Boysun district of Surkhandarya region, individuals attempting to send three women to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for prostitution were detained. The Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported this, according to the Qalampir publication.
It was revealed that two women from Surkhandarya planned to earn illegal income by deceiving women wishing to work abroad and exploiting them sexually.
According to the criminal plan, they promised to send three women to the UAE for prostitution. On February 4, 2026, an airline ticket for the Tashkent-Sharjah flight was issued for 700 USD, and 1000 USD was planned to be demanded for future services.
During the operation, the suspects were detained with material evidence at the “Darband” road-patrol post in Boysun district.
An investigation has been initiated under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (human trafficking), and investigative actions are ongoing.
