The famous Catalan club “Barcelona” will complete preparations for the new season with an Asian tour scheduled for July 27, reported mundodeportivo.com.
Under the leadership of Hans-Dieter Flick, the team is set to play friendly matches against South Korea’s “Seoul” and “Daegu” clubs. Within the tour, it was previously planned to also face Japan’s “Vissel Kobe”, but as the parties could not reach an agreement on financial terms, the Catalans canceled this match.
Ahead of the new season, Hans-Dieter Flick must select the most suitable and experienced players from 35 footballers to keep the team’s potential at a high level.
According to the latest reports, the coach intends to rely more on experienced players, but for young talents dreaming of joining the main squad — such as Landry Farre, Hofre Torrents, Toni Fernandez, Pedro Fernandez, and Dani Rodriguez — the door to the first team remains open.
According to MundoDeportivo, Flick’s coaching staff is preparing to part ways in the new season with key team members like Inaki Peña, Oriol Romeu, Andreas Christensen, and Pau Victor.
It is also reported that the future of the young talented footballer Marc Bernal, who has recovered from injury and rejoined the squad, is still not guaranteed at “Barcelona”.
A period of serious selection and honest competition is beginning for the Catalan club ahead of the new season. If the battle for a place in the main squad intensifies, for some players, the issue of staying or leaving “Barça” will become a very important decision.
