Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola shared his thoughts on the club’s new signing Antoine Semenyo. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The 25-year-old winger joined the Citizens from Bournemouth. The transfer fee was around €75 million.
According to Guardiola, some players shine early, while others need time. The coach stressed that setbacks and hardships shape every player: Semenyo reached the big stage through hard work and resilience, and now he may get his first chance to play in the Champions League. Guardiola noted that although he has not yet featured in European competitions, he will bring great enthusiasm and “fire” to the team.
Semenyo could make his Manchester City debut as early as today in the FA Cup match against Exeter.
