Before that, the record was held by Xavi Hernandez.
Head coach Hans-Dieter Flick described Pedri as a vital pillar of his system. He emphasized that it is currently impossible to imagine the team without Pedri's technical skill.
This season, Pedri has appeared in 26 matches in the Spanish championship, recording two goals and eight assists. His consistent performance is helping Barcelona maintain its lead in the league standings.
