“This is fine” meme creator KC Green reaches settlement with startup Artisan

The creator of the famous “This is fine” meme, artist KC Green, announced that he has reached a settlement with the startup Artisan, which he had accused of unauthorized use of his work. The dispute arose after the startup used Green's artwork to promote its AI assistant, Ava. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports.
Artisan's advertisements on buses and subways featured Green's iconic dog surrounded by flames. However, the traditional “This is fine” phrase was replaced with “My pipeline is on fire,” urging people to “hire an AI manager named Ava.”
Earlier this month, KC Green wrote on social media that his art had been “stolen just like AI steals,” and encouraged his followers to vandalize the ads when they saw them. In an interview with TechCrunch, the artist stated he was tired of spending time with the American legal system instead of working on comics.
Artisan representatives, for their part, emphasized their great respect for Green and his work. Company founder and CEO Jaspar Carmichael-Jack announced that the parties had reached a settlement. Green confirmed that Artisan has removed all advertisements in New York and San Francisco, and the artist, in turn, deleted his initial post against the startup.
