Fire at an electric transformer in Samarkand: cause and details revealed
On June 4, a fire broke out at one of the electric transformers located on Daxbed Street in the city of Samarkand. This was officially reported by the press service of the Samarkand Regional Department of Emergency Situations.

According to the information, the fire started at 14:25 local time. Smoke rose from the cables of the electric transformer, and the fire spread within a short time. One fire-rescue crew was immediately dispatched to the scene and arrived at 14:31 to quickly begin extinguishing the fire.

According to the initial inspections by specialists, the cause of the fire was identified as an overload that occurred in the transformer. In other words, the equipment was operating beyond its capacity, leading to an electric fault and subsequently a fire.

There were no cases of injury to any citizen during or after the fire. At the same time, relevant authorities are currently conducting additional investigation and technical assessment regarding the incident.

According to energy specialists, in order to prevent such incidents, it is necessary to regularly inspect transformers and electrical equipment, avoid overloads, and comply with usage regulations.

Although the incident raised concern among the public, fortunately, it was eliminated without serious consequences thanks to the rapid and coordinated actions of the responsible services.
