Strong earthquake in Kamchatka: official warning to Uzbekistanis

On September 19, a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka region. An earthquake with a magnitude of up to 7 was felt in the cities of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsk, and a tsunami threat was declared in the region.

According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, no casualties or major damage have been reported so far. Emergency services in the region have been put on high alert, and security measures have been strengthened.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok officially addressed the citizens. The Consulate advised Uzbeks to strictly follow the instructions of the Emergency Situations Service, remain calm, and contact the following numbers if necessary:
